Our April Pack meeting will be Sunday, April 17th, starting at 4 pm at the Adventure Park at Sandy Springs Friends School, 16701 Norwood Road, Sandy Spring, MD 20860

Adventure Park (http://www.sandyspringadventurepark.org/) is the largest climbing ropes and zip line course on the east coast, and has 13 different ropes trails, 29 zip lines, 6 difficulty levels, and almost 200 challenge bridges, all built right into the trees – you get to walk the ropes courses through the branches!  You can explore the park here: http://sandyspringadventurepark.org/sandy-spring-adventure-park/.

Cost is $35 per person, and siblings and adults are also welcome to climb.  Like ski runs, there are different difficulty levels for different courses, and different rules for those courses, with some age groups requiring adult supervision for some of the courses.  The rules page is here, but we need adults to both supervise the various courses from the ground and some adults to accompany kids that want to climb some of the more difficult courses.  We will set up a volunteer sign up as we get closer and have a better count.

We will get trained and set up with harnesses from 4 pm to 4:30 pm, and then we will have access to the park from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  The park is lighted, so if you the sun starts to set, you will still be able to climb.  But you are not required to climb the whole time.

Go online and sign the waiver beforehand here.

We need to provide our head count, and can only go up 10-15% from that, by April 3rd, so registration will end April 2nd.  After April 3rd, no refunds are available, but tickets can be transferred to others.

Uniform will be Bravos (the yellow t-shirts), but if it’s cold, don’t worry about showing the t-shirt and dress appropriately.  Closed toe shoes are required, heels, flip-flops, sandals, and crocs are not allowed.  Harnesses and climbing gloves are provided.

If your den wants to do a den meeting beforehand, there is plenty of free outdoor space as well around the park for you to hold that.

Please RSVP and pay HERE.
